GENETIC MATERIALS (WEEK 8)
This week in lab we talked about genetic materials and the genetic makeup of living things. We analyzed our fast plants to continue watching the life cycles of plants but among that, we also analyzed differences between DNA and RNA and the effects that mutations have. We completed online simulations to view the direct effects that mutations have on genes and amino acid outcomes. We also completed partner simulations to compare and contrast. All of these activities will be incorporated in my future classroom, all the hands-on visual activities helped me learn and I think it would be extremely beneficial. Content aside, I also learned more about culturally responsive teaching in classrooms which is also at the forefront of my teaching.

Hi Amanda Le, I thought this was a great and well thought out blog post! I can agree that incorporating hands on materials and visuals will be a great tool to use in my future classroom!
